This web site tells the story of a Bristol Beaufort pilot . Walter MacFarlane 19?? - 1942 who was my Uncle, a brother of my fathers.  Walter died before I was born. 

My interest comes as I approach my 40th Birthday and am fulfilling a lifetimes ambition to become a pilot.  Walter was lost in action returning from a rover stand flight mission in May 1942, he was the pilot that day of a Bristol Beaufort AW364, a large part of the time I have spent researching his short life has centered round this aircraft.
